Archaebacteria

Archaebacteria is unicellular, and can live in extreme habitats such as hot springs, salty lakes, and swamps. Archaebacteria was one of the firs organisms to inhabitat the earth. It can live in anaeorbic enviroments which means that they can live in an enviroment without oxygen. Archaebacteria can be Thermophiles(heat lovers), Methanogens(produce methane gas), or Halophiles(salt lovers).

Eubacteria

Eubacteria is a common bacteria, can cause diseases, are decomposers, and can be used to make food. Most need oxygen to live, but few can live without oxygen. Eubacteria are bioremediation bacteria which means that it can eat oil spills.

Shapes of bacteria

There are five different shapes of bacteria.
-Cocci-round
-Bacilli-rod
-Spirilla-sprial
-Planes-staph
-Chains-strepto
An example is a streptococcus.
